Turn up the love

These pictures were taken in the amazing Parc Güell. The park was originally meant to become a small village in Barcelona for factory-workers and other people with small income. Sadly nobody wanted to live in such a "strange and modern" park, so it became just a park. A  place to rest, walk and enjoy the view. This outfit shows some of the basics that I like to wear on a holiday: Long trousers, a light blouse, moccasins showing a little bit of my ankles and of course my favorite, second hand sunglasses...

Get Lucky

As I was recently browsing through my looks on Lookbook I noticed the immense lack of bow-ties. That's rather strange, since I wear them so often, at least once a week. Even on holidays I couldn't leave them at home. This picture's taken in Barcelona where I've been on vacation last week (hence the period of absence last week.)

You can't hurry love

Today was the first real day of summer wheater. I wore two almost completely different outfits. I started of with this warm ensemble. The trousers are by Lanvin and they're made of seersucker. It's a very light material so your legs stay cool all the time. The perfect solution for a that hot day when you can't wear short because of the occasion you're attending. Anyway as soon as I had set a foot outside I knew this would be the first day of the year that I was going to wear shorts.

Cry-Baby

My friends are throwing a theme-party tonight and the assignment was to dress up like a Johnny Depp Character. Which is obviously the most awesome theme ever! I really had a hard time choosing between the dandy-ish Willy Wonka and the 50's greaser "Cry-Baby". Turns out I'm more of a greaser after all...

Endless love

Nothing feels better than those mornings where you get out of bed late, just look around, and immediately find that one perfect outfit that you've never worn before. Today was that day!

The happening the 18th birthday

March 27, 2013, an important date in my life, because today I'm turning eighteen. I'm officially an adult now. That means I'll have to start acting very different now. Time for flannel suits, ties to the office and maybe I should start wearing a hat? As I wrote last year my family has a long tradition when it comes to birthday outfits, so here's what I'm wearing on this very special day.

Let me go the right way

I was told once, that you can distinguish a real gentlemen by the look of his collar and cuffs. A good collar should always be crisp and stiff just like your cuffs. Because my new Armand blazer lacks any lapels it is the perfect item to show off the contrast between the black blazer and the white collar & cuffs.

You keep me hangin' on

The sun was out today! Spring's finally arriving. Well at least it was today. The next few days are going to be miserable again and they're even expecting some snow. Anyway, the sun's always so great as it makes all the colors in the world pop-out. My hair was extra great today, my outfit was even better so it was the perfect day for an outfit-shoot.

KEEP FALING IN AND OUT OF LOVE

Valentine's day is obviously one of those happy days were people honor their partner by showing a little extra love to each-other. Some people think it's just another stuck up day invented by Hallmark. I think it's the ultimate occasion to wear my red trousers and my Salvador Dali collar tips/lips.

REFLECTIONS

Freedom at last: Today was the last day of my test-week. I really believe that one can achieve more when properly dressed. That would explain why some of my tests went so horrible, since I didn't feel like wearing anything nice last week. This morning I had my last test (maths) so I decided to dress up, hoping it would help.

Return to sender

It's been a while since I did my last lookbook post. As I was browsing through my laptop I came across these old pictures so I wanted to share them.

That's not my name

Time to add a little color to that summer wardrobe. I've wanted to post a Lookbook pic with these trousers for quite a while now. I love to go all bright and colorful on a sunny day. And of course adding the extra touch by wearing an even brighter wristwatch.

Denim-dare-devil

As I said earlier,  I recently bought my pair of first new blue jeans since I was twelve. It's still a bit uneasy and I'm not totally comfortable. Anyway I thought It would be a good start make it into a lookbook look. Denim from top to toe.

WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME

Here's another lookbook look of me. I wanted to pay some attention to this little watch I got from my grandmother. It was once my grandfather's. I never actually met him, since he died before I was born, but I like to remember him by wearing this little timeless piece

"De stijl" In style

These pictures are a sort of tribute to the group of artists who called themselves "De stijl". De stijl (Meaning: The Style) was a group that was well-known in the first part of the last century. They're famous for only using primary colors, black and white.
